An excellent aid for arthritic type joint pain. It may relieve inflammation and swelling, resulting in improved mobility in aching, painful joints.
White willow bark has been used to fight fevers and pain for thousands of years. It contains salicin, the original source of salicylic acid which is used to make aspirin. White willow bark is different to aspirin however, as the bark doesn’t have the negative side effects.
Like devils claw root, white willow bark is known as a natural alternative to “bute”. Both may help to lessen inflammation and discomfort around joints and encourage good mobility.
Horses & Ponies suggested amount – 2 heaped tablespoons (approx. 30 grams daily) Small Ponies and Minis- 1 -2 level tablespoons (approx 10-20grams)
Botanical source is the bark of Salix Alba
